March 10, 2024 - Haven't posted a note on this in a few years, but I have been drinking them during that time, so thought I should add another to track the progress. Of course, the main theme is that the wine continues to drink wonderfully well, and probably will for many years to come. How many is anyone's guess. Delightfully brightly fruited with a red/black cherry note, good depth and a lick of tannin on the finish. One of the world's great red wine values. Just bought six more of these.

December 21, 2022 - Another excellent bottle, it required less air - around a 45 minute decant - than I expected. Consumed over two nights, it was equally good on both nights, equally complex in terms of aromatics and flavor. Lots of Nebbiolo character here, with a bit of roundness provided by the Uva Rara and Vespolina. It is highly aromatic, succulent, and has a nice mid-palate sweetness characteristic of more famous and expensive wines. I think that Antonio may have sold this short with his drinking window, it seems to me likely to be delicious through 2028. This is a remarkably complex and satisfying wine for the price, and it's a perfect 13% ABV. Outstanding QPR.

January 3, 2022 - This continues to drink very well. Slightly volatile nose, but pretty sweet cherries, florals, orange peel, and a bit of brown sugar. Killer QPR.

November 4, 2021 - Red fruit and some smoky notes on the nose. Red fruit, lots of spice, and some earthy/leather notes on the palate. Soft tannins, high acid, medium body, medium finish.

July 10, 2021 - Wow ! Not shutting down yet, at least not this bottle. Double-decanted and served two hours later, this is a deep, dark wine with fragrances and flavors of sweet dark cherries, cola, black tea, dried herbs, pepper and minerals, with good acidity and sappy tannins, medium+ weight (for a Nebbiolo), with a medium-long finish of orange peel and bitter cherry. Long, lip-smacking and bittersweet finish with a touch of balsamic. Outstanding QPR.
