Community Tasting Notes 10

July 22, 2012 - Solid, with black fruit playing the lead and some subtle red fruit underneath. We drank this over a 6-hour period, and it went strong the whole time, so no rush on this despite being ten years old. Nice tannin structure. Spicecake notes in the secondary flavors.

October 28, 2011 - This is in a great place right now if you like mature wines. It probably peaking and not going to get much better but at this time you get a portion of the youthful notes and flavors with a good majority of the mature notes of dried fall leaves, currants, typical Malbec iron notes, sweet tobacco, spice and some sweet oak notes.

February 6, 2011 - Great wine that had been gift from friend that since passed on. Great color, great nose and after 1 hour in decanter it showed really well, very smooth lots of fruit and herbs/spices with a great finish. was super combination with rack of lamb from the grill. perfect choice for event / company / food.

February 10, 2008 - Popped and poured at Piccolo Arancio. Dizzying nose of ripe black fruit. Very tart on the palate initially although that softened after an hour. Nice, modern style wine.

December 28, 2007 - I bought 3 of these 4 years ago and this wine is still singing.
