January 2, 2024 - Agree with others, this is barnyard as f#*k. Left it open for 3 days to blow off the aroma, it didn't dissipate. On the palate would think french. Potential to age well, won't open another for a few years to see how it settles into itself.

May 19, 2023 - It’s different…but I like it.
After first pouring into the decanter the overwhelming smell was farmyard. Pig? Horse? Chicken? I’m no expert but my bet was on the latter shit..
Nose: Slowly over the course of the next three hours the barnyard receded and what emerged were violets, a hint of chicken shit, but then a smoky bbq aroma. Definitely not what I expected from an Aussie Shiraz but it really grew on me.
Palate: over the course of three hours the wine really relaxed and grew into itself. On first opening it was difficult to get past the Parma violets, smoke and tobacco. But then as it uncoiled slowly these elements remained but more subdued and joining them were a gorgeous melange of plums, cherry cola and black raspberries. All welded together with a sturdy tannin structure and mouth watering acidly.
This was a strange one. The wine was so out of whack with any Aussie wine I’ve tried I’m still not sure whether it was slightly off. But either way I really enjoyed it.
While really good now with a 3 hour decent, it’s still a baby (albeit one with a 5 o clock shadow) so this will I’m sure age beautifully for the next 10-15 years.1 person found this helpful Comment -

March 23, 2023 - Magnifique! This Aus renowned Shiraz Viongier is so French it beggars belief.
It smells Northern Rhône. It's structured and tastes like one, too. Yet, it's from the genius hands of Tom Carson and his ultra-close-planted (a bottle a vine) vineyard in the Yarra Valley.
Oh, the smells. Black cherry, blackberry, blackcurrant, strawberry, bacon fat, sandalwood, violet, garrigue herbs, and a whiff of hay. It's so alluring. It's also generous and mouth coating, but with a fine, austere drive. It finishes long, depositing juicy, sweet strawberry droplets and tar as it lingers an age. Just wow.
A Wozza 96.5 (Vivino 4.5) from me. Serious value at around $45. Drink now and until 2030.1 person found this helpful Comment -

May 12, 2021 - Appearance: deep ruby.
Nose: medium intensity; aromas of ginger, blueberry, toast, chamomile, violet, black olive, apricot, subtle balsamic. It’s developing.
Palate: dry, high acidity, medium tannins very smooth, high alcohol, medium plus body, medium plus flavour intensity, some plum, medium plus finish.
Overall, it’s a very good wine. Can drink now, has potential for further ageing.
Great value, if you can get it from the release. It runs out fairly quickly due to the small quantity. Very delicious!1 person found this helpful Comment -

August 14, 2020 - Floral, herbal, apricot, some yeasty/bread notes, light spice and fruit, hint of Pepper. Complex and pleasing on the nose. with time more asian spice and pepper. Medium weight, fruit forward, plum, then black pepper, Smooth fine tannins, Elegant and refined earthy finish. Much hyped and lives up to it
