September 6, 2021 - Five hour decant. Deep dark magenta color. Cherry/fig jam, rye bread, and subtle lavender on the modestly brooding nose. Voluptuous, tongue drying, slightly tart palate. Firm, full tannins on the longish finish.
This was a better bottle a few months ago. A shorter decant (2-4 hours) would have likely been better. Not sure… -

July 10, 2021 - Four hour double decant. Very deep dark magenta color. Boysenberry, currant, vanilla scone, anise, and dried thyme on the terrific nose. Smooth, dry, full bodied palate, with nice acidity. Firm tannins on the longish finish.

April 2, 2021 - A opaque purple fading to black color. An entrancing aroma of black currant, plum, pine bark, and pipe tobacco. Extremely concentrated with fine grainy tannins the palate suggests cassis, oregano, tarragon, blackberry, with an earthy mineralization and a lingering mouth parching finish. This young drink is flying high now with a lengthy decant but should really spread its wings and soar in a few years. 96+ points.
