April 20, 2024 - Popped and poured. Pretty good for a second((?) label--good color, fruit and richness. On the young side, but already drinkable. 5-12-16-8: 91/100..

February 21, 2024 - A fine second wine from Chevalier. Garnet color, nose of cassis, leather and cloves. Palate cassis, blackberries, leather, oak. Short-medium finish. Nothing crazy but not bad either. It's well made but I won't be rebuying

January 4, 2024 - Modern and decadent. Primary flavors of cassis and black cherry liqueur are primary and in your face. Hopefully a more savory edge will emerge with time.

This felt more like a vin de garde (fruit notwithstanding) which is not what I'm looking for in second label juice. To my palate this needs mid-term cellaring at least. Not really sure why at this level.
