September 19, 2023 - Love this Riesling from Schloss Johannisberg!
Light straw yellow color in the glass with expressive aromas of white nectarines, apples, citrus and tropical fruits.
On the palate, a luscious delight of fruit flavors accurately mirroring the wine’s aromas.
Light to medium bodied white wine with complex texture and excellent acidity.
The wine’s finish is smooth and lingering.

April 9, 2023 - Inviting floral and petrol nose. A nicely balanced wine but the acidity was not as high as I expected. Good minerality on the finish.

June 13, 2021 - Med yellow. Clean, med (+) aromas of unripe stone fruit, lemon, lime, melon, petrol, honeysuckle, green apple. Dry, with lots of sweet fruit, med (+) to high acidity, med alcohol (12%). Med (+) flavor intensity and length. This is a very good wine which is just now entering its optimal tasting window.

September 22, 2020 - With some Riesling perfume. ANd some clear through the mid palate. Interesting. But not that interesting. BUt Brian notes its really solid.

February 5, 2020 - Pale lemon color. Bright and inviting on the nose with lime, quince, apricot, some white flowers and crushed rocks. Pleasantly plump on the palate, the bright acidity jives well with the off-dry sugar, so this tastes balanced and vibrant. Lemon, green melon and white peach fruit, tossed with chalky, floral, crushed rock elements. Lovely freshness, balance, and depth but also fun, early-drinking style. 2018 German Rieslings have a lot to offer.
