February 3, 2024 - I am trying my 2nd bottle of this. Opened for 4 hours. On the nose: Black Cherry, vanilla, cinnamon, cola and plum with some alcohol heat. On the palate: Black cherry, licorice, dark chocolate, plum and baking spices. Very long and sensual. Big alcohol but really a great flavor profile.

May 9, 2023 - Tasting: This I really liked. Initially I guessed Bordeaux and Cabernet Sauvignon, but after a few hours in the glass i thought Cabernet Franc.

April 20, 2023 - Explosive, and may be to much. It evened out after decanting and for sure it is a good, well-made wine. But may be to much.

October 30, 2022 - Tasted blind. My good lord, a blast from the past from the Robert Parker era. Bigger, denser, bolder, riper, overripe even, marmalade, cooked fruit, alcoholic heat on the finish. Who drinks syrup like this? Our table was not a fan of this either. I guessed Priorat/CdP blind. My recommendation to the Clos Erasmus team: Buy a bottle of Rayas and learn...

May 28, 2022 - Opened and decanted. Color is deep bright ruby/purple. On the nose: Still coming off the cold but vanilla, dark chocolate, cherry and strawberry. On the palate: Strawberry, mocha, fine tannins, cherry and baking spices. Very young and very sensuous wine.
