November 27, 2015 - Day 1-slightly restrained. Integrated fruit. Very pretty nose. Plenty of spices and blackberry with a long finish. Very pretty indeed. Medium bodied

Day 2-more open. Slightly improved. Still plenty of tannin.

Certainly in its drinking window. Air helps. Maybe 3 more years would help. It's still astringent on day 2.

January 10, 2015 - I followed WADESTRAVELS advice from 2011 to wait 4 more years. We are now in 2015 drinking a 2005 vintage and it's dry, diluted, short and acidic.
I should have followed A VD VORST advice and drink it in 2011. That's the thing with wine, you never know. What I learn from several attempts at French burgundies from 2005 is that you'll find real pleasure with many single vineyard PN from CA or OR for less and...WITHOUT THE 10 YEARS WAIT...!!!!!

(Vougeraie Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Marconnets) Powdery red fruit - very 2005 with it’s ripe red aspect. It’s quite a narrow entry but this wine expands in the mouth in to the mid-palate. Just a little oak texture on the finish. Very good potential here.
