October 7, 2022 - Interesting. First taste was remiscent of an inexpensive California Pinot Noir. First smell though was more perfumed and elegant though. After an hour, wine is settling into a much more concentrated and balanced wine, but now lacking the perfume on the aftertaste. It is well balanced and surprisingly (to me) concentrated.

July 5, 2019 - Domaine Lamarche Visit and Tasting 2018 From Barrel (Vosne-Romanée): Barrel tasting at the domaine (sample assembled the night before). Everything 30-40% whole cluster. Also bright red throughout with slightly less spice than les Chaumes just tasted, but more density and textural charm. Very good 91-93 point potential.
