  March 26, 2023 - Heater week; 3/26/2023-4/3/2023 (Chicago, IL): So nice to taste this after trying it in barrel. This has filled out very nicely, even if it comes across a little simplistic (especially for Lafarge). Ripe, plump, and very easygoing red fruit, with relatively lighter structure in the background. Probably one for drinking younger, but it's very nice to drink now.

Not hard to feel this comes from a solar vintage, it simply has that density. While the acidity is perceived as on the lower end, I bet its simply buried beneath the wines semi imposing structure. I’m betting this is going to be really good, simply needs at least 5 years at a minimum. Oh, it was very fresh with some real depth on the finish.

  March 11, 2020 - Visite au domaine Lafarge (mars 2020) (Au domaine): 65 ares en rouge. Un vin rond, puissant mais très soyeux, avec un fruit croquant, très frais. Délicieux, avec un équilibre admirable. 92+
