February 7, 2021 - Starting to fade, fruit flavors are diminished, sweet cedar, forest floor notes, fruit clearly in the background, this wine does not have much future, drink now. I am unclear how well, if at all, Australian Grenache ages, multiple disappointments with older bottles.

July 10, 2020 - Used Coravin to drink over about two weeks, consistent experiences all three glasses.

We all know how the over-aged Aussie Shiraz can get very prune/alcohol on the nose and palate, so I was a bit put off by the nose on my wine. I quickly resolved that it wasn't over the hill but had a bit of VA on the nose. It was really mild but noticeable, so I left the glass to air for 60-90 min each time, with a bit of swirling occasionally. In all cases the VA blew off and revealed a lovely nose with equal palate.

Not sure I want to use the word "explosive" as has been used in other notes, but it was certainly pronounce and full, no noticeable gaps. I'd peg this on the downhill slope, but I thought the wine was lovely once I got past the flaws on open.

June 14, 2020 - Sweet notes but beginning to fade. Had someone else's last week which was gone. Suggest you drink the rest of your bottles

February 27, 2017 - I'm not getting any of the "explosions" or "mouthfuls" of fruit described in other reviews. That said, I'm typically a big ripe Shiraz man, so maybe it's relative, or bottle variation as I certainly did get a chunk of sediment here.

The pouring was a light translucent rusted colour. In short underwhelming for a 12yo. The initial palate was a charming aged leather offer with a metallic edge. I was thinking 90-91 at this point. Enjoying it actually because Aussie pure vine grenach is so different to CNDP blends.

But fast forward 2 hours and it's thicker and layers bigger. Prune chocolate leather briefcase meets heavy metals.

A magnificent accompaniment to roast chicken. Man that worked well and I rarely make any notes on food parings.

    Let this bad boy breath!

... but drink it now. There's not a long life ahead.
