  March 14, 2009 - Broodingly deep purple to the rim. Although the fruit was thick and full in the mouth, it deftly stopped shy of being sweet or over-ripe. The acidity and tannins were a little restrained for a Petite but commendable in that they were in balance and definitely not overbearing. All-in-all a pretty well-balanced, if not entirely integrated offering. Unsure what some time in a decanter or a couple more years would add to this wine but being afforded neither, I was more than pleased.

  December 22, 2008 - Dark color. Not very giving on the nose. Perhaps still too young? Good grip on the palate, dark fruits, moderate finish. I prefer the Rutherford PS from Elyse, which has been a knock-out for the last several years, but this was a nice bottle nonetheless.
