February 25, 2024 - An excellent wine, immediately approachable.

November 27, 2023 - Really nice Madiran with lots of dark fruit, balsamic and iron notes. SOme oak spice notes which work well too. Could age a bit more for sure. Reminiscent of a good LB BDX. Great value.

March 7, 2022 - Better than the 2015. I can see why it got 2 stars in the Guide Hachette. Has got nice aromas of mint, blackberries, iron, sandstone, earth, and raspberries. Its chewy medium bodied solid linear black and blue fruits palate has nice depth, good freshness and length ending with nice unobtusive tannin. 14%. Excellent value at under 10 Euros. Lay down 5-10 years easily. Needs 3-4 hrs aeration.

February 26, 2022 - Opaque, plum purple. Nose of oak/vanilla, blueberries, plums.. some tobacco as well. Quite well balanced, some chalky tannin and abit of acidity, with the fruitiness in the background. Good.

December 8, 2021 - Opaque and very dark. Nice aromatics of black and blue fruit, some spices, and some herbs. Perhaps a whiff of a vanilla as well. This is medium+ bodied, but has a ridiculous amount of smooth, but leathery tannins. A very good wine, and well balanced with a good but not overly high acidity. Good textbook tannat.
