February 15, 2024 - kind of bland for les Clos. Decent weight, clean winemaking, soft and gentle on the palate with a slight alcoholic heat, but nothing at all to set this apart as Grand Cru. Still, not a bad buy at the price, but doesn't do service to this vineyard.

January 22, 2023 - @ Mourad in SF. This revisit on the 2018 Clos was very good and went well with every dish, including basteeya and braised beef cheeks. I'll say in short that this particular bottle was indicative of a wine that needs time to fully develop its personality. It was not a "Wow!" performance; a solid showing to be sure, but perhaps the 2018 vintage's curvatures show a bit here, making for a less-than-nervy delivery. Lots of lemon goodness and an exquisite sense of balance, if perhaps slightly pedestrian on the finish.

Plan on calendaring a solid decade from vintage and see what's under the hood then. DIAM 10 closure.

September 18, 2022 - Served by the glass. Best bottle from domaine tonite and probably better than its peers. Spiced notes of toast and blossom on the nose. Mouth showed dense yet balanced, rich and very long with a lively saline finish. In seven years or so a genuine jewel.

July 29, 2021 - Shy and primary on the initial hit of lemon curd and meringue cookie, but gradually over the course of a few hours, citrus juice and white rock enter the equation. Luscious and slightly rich on the mid-palate, finishing with deeper pitched lemon succulence. Final sips were the best. Less overt hedonism on this bottle compared to last year. Sealed with DIAM 10, so I’m going to let these sleep 3-4 years minimum before revisiting.

December 7, 2020 - At first a little shy,but opens up gradually, revealing a lovely and complex nose of citrus fruit, white peach, floral scents, crushed oyster shells and sea breeze.Viscous texture, with massive depth and concentration. There's not that razor sharp Chablis acidity, but there is a great overall balance with nice savory elements and salinity, balancing the sweet fruit.Impressive length and persistence. The wine is delicious and is drinking very well right now.
