January 14, 2022 - This wine is "just enough". Nicely balanced, on point and focused but not overly deep or profound (they save those grapes for the more expen$ive blends...). Still, a nice glass with florals and spice on the nose, a hint of vanilla/oak on the palate (?), with just enough minerals to finish it nicely. Bravo, especially for the reasonable price.

Second bottle opened 8 weeks later. Just as nice, perhaps even nicer!

December 28, 2021 - Under screw cap. Very weak food wine. Didn’t like it at all. Less unpleasant when chilled to about 40-42F.

December 4, 2020 - Nice wine for $12 - had with a manila clam stew in mushroom/miso broth shiitake mushrooms, garlic, green onions, tofu, and shallots. Good value wine for the food. Nice lemon flavor, good complement with the clams.

July 16, 2020 - Pleasant. Lemon rind, yellow apples, and a touch of apple pie crust notes. Simple and not oaky. While I don’t normally like white burgundy on the cold side, I’d chill this down quite a bit and serve it with a chicken salad at a summer picnic. While it’s not oaky, it’s not crisp like a Chablis and something tells me it would benefit from a little fat to accompany it. I have a case and I suspect it won’t see October.

March 20, 2020 - An easy-drinking, relatively un-oaky Chardonnay. Round, soft, and refreshing. Good acidity matched by delicious apricot, lemon, and a light mineral note.

I’m not a huge fan of Chardonnay, but this burgundy has certainly changed my mind. And at a good price. I’ll gladly keep a bottle or two around.
