Community Tasting Notes 6

July 4, 2023 - No notes taken but this was much more enjoyable than previous bottle
Remains quite "natural" but much more approachable and with much more character than before
Moderate phenolic bitterness from extended skin contact and bruised apple notes
This wine making style, though quite interesting and enjoyable, seems to remove all the classic features of this variety/ region

March 22, 2022 - Deep gold / light amber color
Medium plus aromas of bruised golden apples and cider with high toned spice notes
Light to medium bodied - rather hollow palate of apples and then a long-lasting rather unpleasant musty aftertaste
Medium high to high acidity with moderate phenolic bitterness and medium alcohol with short finish
Im a fan of "natural" wines as a rule, but this was not really enjoyable and the sense of place was removed

March 15, 2022 - I think the note saying musky is a good explanation. Bruised apple aromas, very herbal, almost rosemary. Dry with medium to elevated acidity. I thought it was so much fun to drink, but I can say it is not a style for everybody.

October 22, 2021 - Light gold, a bit brassy. Moderately intense aromas, musky, tree fruit. Dry but not bone dry, elevated acidity, medium-bodied, 13.5°. Malty, slightly oxidized, dash of soy on the finish from microbiological source. Fruit vague and subdued.
All it would have taken is just a little sulfur...

October 30, 2020 - A fall hike with apple cider vinegar.
