November 3, 2022 - Slightly sweet nose of raspberry, yeast, lavender, cocoa and alcohol. Rich plum, blackberry, some vanilla. Improved after opening up. Love me my Ballard Canyon AVA Syrahs!

May 24, 2022 - Med+ ruby. Med+ aromas of black currant, black plum, violet, baking spices, leather, mocha. Dry, but quite fruit-forward, with med acid, med+, ripe tannins, and high alcohol. Full-bodied, with med+ flavor intensity, complexity and length, it is hedonistic without being overdone. Barely in its optimal drinking window, it should continue to show well for many years.
