  October 1, 2023 - Nicely dark in colour. Nose is very expressive, with smoke, meat, maybe a tinge of green pepper, blackberry fruit takes back seat to the other notes. Palate is medium to full bodied, sweet at first, with ripe blackberry and some plum, has a slightly bitter edge with some redcurrant. Overall - very nicely balanced and very fragrant and intense. Very peppery on the finish which is nice. Great value for such an interesting wine. Might be polarising - but I like it.

  September 22, 2023 - This wine is coming into focus since I wrote my last note on it. It feels more integrated, and somehow the dark fruit even feels a little tighter along with the savory notes. I get more peppercorns and game on the nose. The palate features much of the same dark berries, ash, and salinity I remember.

  May 23, 2023 - Day 1: After a few dudes nice to see a wine showing well and this is in a perfect spot. Mild funk, raspberries, tar, spice, minerals and earth. Complex and a great value. 92 points
  Day 2: Holding nicely on day 2 with funk, smoked meats, raspberries, tar, earth and minerals. A very complex effort for the money. Medium plus finish. 92 points

  April 30, 2023 - Needed some air to shine. Black in the glass. On nose, purple & blue fruits (plum/blueberry) with touch of flint, vanilla and saline. On palate, medium+ body, medium tannins/acids and long finish. Flavor profile on palate was plum/blackberry and mineral undertones. Enjoyed this but not a re-buy. 91+/-

  February 20, 2023 - Wow, unexpectedly dry! It started singing after 20 minutes. One hour in it surprised me again with smoky gunpowder notes. 15% ABV.
