January 25, 2014 - This wine now long in the tooth, an interesting and successful experiment in quality for Niagara.
An immense and lively nose of cedar and dark fruit. Initially an overbearing acidity that slowly dissipates in both nose and taste.
The taste is faithful to the nose with deep cedar and leather on dark fruit and a firm tannin base that comes to the fore as the acidity dissipated. This process ,in fact continues over 3 days after opening
And it actually finds more balance. Also should mention the long chewy persistence .
I won't keep this vintage much longer but thoroughly enjoyed it.

January 24, 2009 - I bought this tasting room bottle in May '07. I liked it then and I still do: unmistakable Niagara Peninsula terrior's mossy/barnyard bouquet. Modest berry fruit and not much depth lead to a short finish.
