May 25, 2023 - See last post maturing and well integrated, fruit is a bit more dominant, but held at bay by both tannins and a tinge of acidity. Plenty of life left; wish I’d bought more. Drank with a fatty ribeye. Perfect

April 21, 2022 - Nice CalCab. Two hour decant with some sippage as I cooked our steak. Deep plum color, but clear, the higher alcohol content is obvious in its legs, but nowhere else. Nose is dark fruit with a touch of damp earth Mouth is plums, blackberries, and black cherries Tannins and acidity show up in the mid-length finish I would have never guessed this was 14.9 % alcohol. The fruit shrouds it very well. Drink now, most of the tannins seem to be grape related.
