December 8, 2023 - CRiBBS @ La T (La Trompette, London): Mid garnet. A touch of spirit on the nose that follows through to the palate. A gentle medicinalness. ****

November 18, 2023 - FTLOP 18th Anniversary; 11/17/2023-11/19/2023 (Seattle, Washington): Amber-ruby hue. Aromas of Christmas spices and dried nuts create a sense of complexity, with intriguing hints of Tawny Port characteristics adding depth. The palate is rich and intense, featuring a delightful array of baking spices and notes of lemon peel. The sharp cinnamon undertones evoke a distinct Vintage Port profile. It has a nice, long finish.

July 24, 2023 - Double whammy on this one; oxidized and VA. The fill didn't look bad, but when I cut the cap, there was leakage underneath. I used a decanting stand, and saw immediately it looks more like an old colheita than a VP; clear, but dark tawny colored. It was still drinkable, but not a proper bottle. Nutty, woody, prunes and cloves. I brought it to a friend's 60th birthday party, and everyone seemed to love it. I kept my reservations to myself.

June 25, 2023 - On first decant it’s still tightly wound. Prune, raisin and Christmas spices. Long finish of candy. I expect this to open up.

June 21, 2023 - Drinking like the best candy in the world. From a bottle about a month open.
