October 19, 2019 - Annual Pilgrimage to Piedmont - 2019 Edition; 10/17/2019-10/20/2019 (Piedmont, Italy): Another elusive vintage that we have managed to tick of our list of this great wine and our favourite white wine in the world.
The cellar at La Ciau del Tornavento did not fail us in keeping this wine well, and even 16 years or so since bottling and a great 27 since harvest this was bright and glossy and full of charm. Needed some time to develop and shed a bit of a musty touch on the nose but post that was full on Terlan performance , soft honey, still a bit of oaky dynamic, light caramel almost petrolly feel. 93 and a great experience.1 person found this helpful Comment
