March 17, 2024 - Dark ruby. Medium intense nose of dark plum, overripe blackcurrant, blueberries, some raspberries, some forrest floor, violets, garrigue.

Palate similar. Juicy, quite fresh acidity. Has a herbal crunch that pairs well with a slightly spiced up reindeer stew, "finnbiff". Should have some more years in it if given good cellaring.

Medium + body, medium acidity, light + tannins.

November 6, 2022 - Delicious fruit forward Rhone. Nice value for the price.

  • Vindraken Likes this wine: 90 points

November 13, 2021 - Very warm year (14,5% alc) abd the style is accordingly leaning towards Barossa.

June 13, 2021 - After the first bottle noted a few months ago, bought a couple more. This was one of the new batch. Overwhelming herbaceous-ness on the nose and palate. Tasted more like Zwack or Unicom than wine. Bad bottle? I've two more to find out. Can't say it was flawed...

The other two bottles were flat and disappointing as well. I read the recent notes and they reflect our first bottle. Sadly not the others.

December 6, 2020 - Dusty red and black cherry fruit, suppressed against a tight background...Not too full in the mouth, but a long and varied finish. Great QPR if you're a sucker, like me, for a syrah in this style.
