January 22, 2022 - red to dark red fruits, iron, wet forest, curing meats, a touch of smoke. in a good spot now

February 16, 2021 - Damn. This was wonderful. Better even than his 1er Cru Exchanges from the same vintage. Drinking beautifully. Soft and subtle. Elegant and in a perfect slot.

September 29, 2020 - I've had good luck with 2005s this year, even with a 1er Cru Vosne-Petits Monts from Potel. But this one is still fairly shut down, although showing very good potential. Intense red and dark fruits, but also a fair amount of tannin. Medium-full body and quite a bit of power for Chambolle. Cellared since original release.

June 2, 2019 - This is very very young but "wow" does this open up over the course of the evening! Lots of intense black raspberry, cherry flavors mixed with rose bush, various briary scents, licorice, iron and violet come about with some fresh beets and meat juices. There almost a liqueur/jellied quality to the fruit that at first, is maybe a tad concerning but then when you imagine the longevity here and when the wine comes around, "Wow" Lots of style today, even. Firm tannins, typical of '05. Lots of potential going forward. Do not revisit for another 8+ years as there is no rush here. Muscular tannic structure that is certainly odd for Chambolle, but we will see!

February 12, 2018 - Faded in colour and taste not so much in harmony. Nose is good, but taste is very sour cherry and still high notes of acidity. On day 2 faded away and sour and a lot of sediments.
