October 27, 2023 - Jura + X Tasting (Freiheit Vinothek, Ulm, Germany): Glass: Freaky no name from Grandma's cupboard.
Popped and poured. Unfiltered, medium golden color. Fine, reductive and interesting nose. On the palate fine, lots of ripe fruit, clear and precise, reductive, dense and deep, also very juicy. Long finish. Beautiful wine. 93 Ridiculous 2nd market Price though.

July 25, 2023 - It's a well-made wine, but the price is ridiculous. I'm willing to buy it again and taste it if it's in the $100 range, but I don't show you the performance roll as much as the current price. There are too many alternatives for the same price.

May 13, 2023 - Uncorked one day prior to be served into Riedel Burgundy glass ("Flower" day): Medium golden to the eyes.

This has the signature Riesling-like floral and sea-breeze like reductive notes from the young version of the wines from this producer.

What sets this apart from other top Jura producers may be its texture (limestone firmness, versus softness / umami focus) but this should remained to be concluded at this point.

Largely consistent with the previous tasting roughly 3 years ago - this does not seem to have evolved a lot and would require good amount of time in cellar to showcase its potential. 94 points.

February 12, 2023 - More reduction than I expected. Showed maturity, fullness, and deft management. Delicious

June 20, 2020 - PNP into Zalto Burgundy glass (“Root” day): Pale golden to the eyes.

Small pour, first impressions per below: Signature Jura Chardonnay notes on the nose to me with savoury, slightly salt-preserved citrus fruits like lemons with peels, yellow fruits, mints and florals with oxidative hints but never overdone.

Really fine minerality and sense of elegance on palate here, with notes largely consistent with the nose albeit a little more “mikan”-like (Japanese mandarins, should be just my imagination...). Nice finesse on palate and finishes quite long indeed.

    93-94 points.

Upon 3 hours uncorked rest in fridge, 1st official pour: Cool breeze reduction, concentration and integration on palate. Tasty, and to me this sense of light-footedness really inspires Chardonnay made in this region/style.
