    February 13, 2024 - 14% alcohol. Superb cork with no wine penetration. Medium colour, pretty dark for Gamay.
    The nose has good intensity but it evokes liquorice rather than red berries. Similarly poised in the mouth with a velvety quality somewhat marred by a perception of alcohol in the finish.
    This belongs to the highly extracted school of winemaking in Beaujolais, and it is probably not the most successful rendition of that trend. Coming after a Bouland Morgon 2014, the contrast was striking.
    Still highly enjoyable but certainly not for Beaujolais purists.
