October 31, 2020 - A weekend in Sonoma, Act II-Benovia and Inman (Sonoma County, California, USA): Nose: The nose is fresh and forward with pomegranate, tart red cherries, raspberries, strawberries, some bitter chocolate notes, rose petals, and baking spices. There is excellent depth with an elegant, red-fruited take.
Taste: The feel is Medium+ bodied with tart, medium+ acidity and silky, medium tannins. The feel is refined and well balanced with a youthful verve that is backed up by tones of pomegranate, tart red cherries, raspberries, strawberries, rose petals, and bitter chocolate notes.
Overall: This is a lovely, young RRV Pinot that would definitely benefit from a few years of aging. It doesn't need a long time, but it should harmonize beautifully after 3+ years of aging.
