Community Tasting Notes 11

December 21, 2022 - Opened, poured and let sit 1/2 hr. Then: Nose of red fruit. Taste is sour cherry; a bit too much acidity; some warmth on the finish at first, but that disappears over time in the glass; tannins not an issue; not in balance. Taste/mouthfeel is on the weak side. Fairly disappointing.

September 14, 2022 - Expansive and expressive on the nose and palate. Sweet and sour black cherry notes, raspberry, white mushroom and forest floor. Perfect balance between fruit and terroire gives it sweetness and that Oregon restraint brings this very close to a Gevry Chambertin.

May 10, 2022 - Ripe and ready fruit. Very pretty raspberry. OPen and very expressive Alex notes, and I would agree. With tension and vibrancy to it. 17 months in oak, 20%. Native yeast. Destemmed.

March 13, 2022 - Translucent ruby color, medium bodied. Bing cherries that aren’t quite ripe is the dominant flavor. Some dusty tannins leave a bit of dryness, too. Not a long finish. Fond memories of tasting at the winery in the mid 1980s are dented by this underwhelming sample, given what newer rivals are producing.
