Community Tasting Notes 12

February 11, 2022 - Purplish ruby color. Aromas of black fruit, light funk, mushroom, and graphite. Light to medium body, medium acid, medium (-) finish, and flavors of dark red, black, and blue fruits, with a bit of lemon and minerals. A little on the light and simple side of things. Under served our steak tonight; I'd go burgers on the pairing.

January 29, 2022 - A bold Chilean cab with loads of dark red fruit, damp leaves and tar notes with tight acidity and round tannins. A little funk on the nose but otherwise a nice, value wine.

December 10, 2021 - Rustic personalities, notes of barnyard, forest floor, mulberries and stewed black berries on the nose. Not your typical Chilean Cab S aromatics. The smooth palate echoed the nose. The fruits continued to be at the background with earthy and leathery nuances upfront. Medium-bodied, lacking some freshness for this young wine. Some grippy tannins in the finish. Would be better in 2-3 years.

May 16, 2021 - An excellent value. Color is deep and taste is well-balanced. On the drier side, and excellent with spicy food once it opens up. A more natural Cabernet, not overwhelmed by oak. I’d buy this again.
