March 11, 2012 - Really in a good place right now so consume these. Pepper, licorice, earth, blackberries and coffee. Medium finish and still nice acidity. Time has improved this offering.

March 3, 2012 - Mpls Wine Club: Worldwide Syrah/Shiraz (Tracy's): Very dark red/purple color. Pop and pour, drank 1 glass over 2 hours. This has a really nice nose with damp earth in the forefront, blackberry liqueur, plum, pepper, scorched earth, spice. The palate has nice depth, elegance and balance, blackberry liqueur, plum, pepper, licorice, scorched earth, oak and spice. This is very old world in style. This did fall off in the glass after an hour, so I would suggest drinking these up. 91pts.

April 9, 2010 - Pop and pour at dinner. Inky black, no fading I could see. Somewhat tight on open, came alive with two hours or so in the glass. No rush, at all, to drink these up. Nice dark fruit, meat, etc, no pepper notes. Nice wine, not life changing, somewhat disappointed that no real secondary notes have developed at this point, I suppose I should have left it be for a considerable time longer, though I would have guessed it would be pretty ready now. Live and learn.

June 24, 2008 - My favorite wine of the flight, put up against the 99' and 00' La Serenne and 00' and 01' La Cote Rousse. Dark berries, plumbs, citrus and ash on the nose. Super rich and round on the palate with silk-like perfection. Very sexy and seductive wine for being 7 years past vintage. Need to find some more via auction.
