Community Tasting Notes 2

April 27, 2010 - Light ruby color, very pretty. Peanut butter and jelly nose, also white pepper. On the palate smooth and simple, turning slightly oily and stemmy on the lingering finish. Some tannin and acidity, borderline alcohol. Overall a nice, unpretentious Pinot with no rough edges, well priced. Drink now or hold a couple years.

June 20, 2007 - Pretty, rich, deep cranberry color. Nose shows cinnamon, licorice, cherry, coffee, and mild warm wood. Medium weight palate, perhaps a tad on the thin side, a little heavy on the alcohol and acidity. Slightly bitter tannins on the long finish. Fairly classy for a simple red Burgundy, may be slightly better in a year.
