February 19, 2024 - Consistent with previous bottle but showing even better. Drank alongside a 2008 Alpha Omega cab and the freshness and purity of the fruit on this wine is just spectacular. Vibrant acidity but in perfect balance with the mostly red berry fruit. Hardly any sign of oak aroma or flavor but it's there in the mouthfeel a bit. Long finish. This is the absolute perfect style of Napa cab for my palate and shows the winemaking touch of Steve Matthiasson.

May 24, 2023 - I have had a number of Ashes @ Diamonds wines and I just don't get anything close to what other notes imply. Very light, little fruit or acidity. I will not be buying anymore and hope my remaining bottles somehow improve..

August 13, 2021 - Popped and poured. Medium crimson color. Really pure fruit on the nose with some red and black cherry, red currant, plum, a bit of toasted oak and spice. Similar flavors on the palate with lifted red fruit flavors and juicy acidity with smooth tannins. Really a pleasure to drink right now but room for development. This is old school Napa cabernet and really quite good.

November 10, 2020 - Napa trip November 2020; 10/31/2020-11/14/2020 (Napa, CA): Good wine, A&D is about the old world winemaking and earlier picks. This one was inspired by a ‘68 BV. Nice acidity through the middle.
