August 28, 2023 - A bit on the richer side though by no means over the top. Rich lemon and lime, fresh white flowers, cream, creme fraiche, toasty vanilla. Medium in body, medium high in acid, an overall perception of freshness. The flavors are just like the nose; rich citrus with toast and vanilla from oak. The oak is well managed, though I can't help bu think this wine will be even nicer in a few years after the oak perception recedes a bit.

March 10, 2023 - My go to chardonnay. Not over oak, stone fruit, well balanced, good acidity, mayb better with SB but still does well too

November 3, 2022 - I see this is the last of 6 and the first time I’ve been moved to post a note. Over the course of 18 months this has moved from quite a lush, creamy, apple led wine with a coat of oak to something more complex. I liked the earlier bottles and as is my wont I would compare it to a standard St Veran or similar wine with added barrel notes. This one has changed a good deal. It still has that rounded, full bodied presentation but the stone fruit, specifically peach is now challenging the apple by coming to the fore. The oak is integrating and the creamy mouth feel is very appealing. I do find the sweetness to remind my of a Thevenet Bongran (a wine I love for what it is), but this has an added sense of complexity. Something herbal, some pine resin and some smoke make this a changing wine as it goes down. Forgot to mention the slight flinty reduction on the nose, nothing obtrusive but adds to the whole. Not a long wine but one that finishes clean and demands another sip. This has moved from good to very good. Will seek out more.

July 1, 2022 - South Africa Wimps (Trompette): Good start to proceedings. Very open - both on the nose and palate - but by no means overblown. Lovely and great vfm.

June 30, 2022 - Another good showing as opener to a SA wine lunch.
Nutty oak aromas are introduced on the palate along with citrus and stone fruit notes.
This is decent if not un-complex Chardonnay doing exactly what I hoped for
