    Vivino rating 4.4

Founded in 1924, Chateaneuf-du-Pape is the southern Rhône’s most prized red. The vineyard is from the renowned Diffonty family.

Full bodied, rich and mouth filling, with building tannins. It has a meaty powerful nose of dark fruits, ground pepper, subtle smoke and cured meats. A classic blend of Chateauneuf blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre.

January 20, 2023 - Deep purple. Medium plus on the nose with aromas of violet, black Cherry, jammy, pepper, tobacco, barnyard, vegetal. Developing
Dry, medium acidity, high alcohol, high tannin, full bodied. Medium intensity with flavours of black cherry, pepper, vegetal. Medium finish.
The wine is very good. Balanced, good finish, complexity and intensity. Drink now with further aging potential.

January 17, 2023 - Black fruit, slight hint of pepper and spices note.
High tannin, medium acidity, medium body, medium to long finish.

Good, but likely can improve with more aging.
