December 24, 2023 - The 2017 is a beautiful, ruby red wine of medium depth of color and high alcohol. Complex aromas of raspberry, strawberry, cherry and plum, vanilla, clove, rum plum, caramel, chocolate, some cooked fruit and leather on the nose. On the palate, pronounced acidity with well-integrated tannins and aromas of blackberry, plum, cranberry, cherry, rum pot and cooked plum jam. In my opinion, the wine is now (end of 2023) very ready to drink, but can also be stored for a few years.

September 7, 2022 - Superb but still quite young. With proper cellaring will age well over the next 20+ years with further balance, integration and deepening expected so drink or hold but leaning strongly on the hold - if drunk now would recommend a lengthy 2-3 hour decant. I see this eventually as a 93-94 point wine. Highly recommend and this is already quite a reasonable QPR wine at the average CT cost. Enjoyed in Helsinki at restaurant OLO with their higher end tasting and wine pairing menu. Full bodied, at this point of maturation bright and fruit forward, oak and tannins present but controlled, acidic, very dark purple and with a lengthy aftertaste. Nose bright and fruit forward with dark cherry, slight oak and a hint of vanilla up front and developing plum and black pepper on the finish. Flavor profile of cherry, plum and raspberry up front with a darker earthier finish of stone, leather, grilled meat and tobacco.

    April 17, 2021 - n: red berry, dark cherry
p: light chalky texture, rasp and red berry dominant. Moves to dry river rock. Hints of gamay like bubble gum
Brighter than most cdp, I think with time will develop the richer dark fruit and choco flavors as I get them more at the end of the bottle
