October 7, 2023 - Consistent with past notes 16 months ago. Rich tropical fruit basket (yellow, green, and orange fruit), honeysuckle, butterscotch, and graham cracker is nicely balanced with a steely spine of minerals, crushed granite, and sea salt. Paired nicely with grilled carne asada chicken with lime. Will try to save last bottle until 2025 but will be best 2024-2034. Technical score: 93. Enjoyment score: 91.

February 5, 2023 - Quite open; the vintage speaks, but is handled well here. Rich style, exotic fruit, almost tropical, plenty of butter, but fine acidity as well. Still young. Jobard rules.

August 19, 2022 - Blind Chardonnay Shoot-Out (Cru and Domaine, Portland OR): The nose is fragrant and balanced with tones of ginger, red apples, pears, vanilla beans, quince, toast, hazelnuts, flint, stone fruits, and smoke notes. The Medium/full bodied feel has the balance of the nose carry through with racy, medium+ acidity. The acidity has some real cut while the feel is slightly shy, but with excellent length to the finish. This is clearly a baby of a wine with a bit of fat to trim. I would love to see where this goes in another 5+ years as there is a lot to like right now.

April 6, 2022 - Opened and paired with roasted Halibut and mixed grains. Pale straw color. Nose brings honeysuckle, orange rind, lemon zest, butterscotch, and some crushed rock and petrol. The palate is medium-light, square, tangy, and viscous, bringing a compact core of oranges, nectarines, pineapple, green apple, almonds, graham crackers, and saline into a lovely finish. This is still primary, and will be best 2024-2034. Technical score: 93. Enjoyment score: 93.

January 15, 2022 - EVERYDAY. Diacetyl, viscous, full bodied, balanced, classic meursault. Great drinkable option.
