September 29, 2023 - Takes a while to open up. Once it does, a nice dark nose of wet leaves, forest floor, and big red and blue fruits. On the palate, the fruit contributes to be big: syrupy, good acid, blue fruits, and tannins. Not a ton of secondary characteristics. This is big. Skins and twigs stick around.

September 25, 2021 - Plum, soy sauce, toasty oak, a touch of vanilla bean on the finish. Seem to get better with more time in the glass. Maybe some more cellar time should smooth out any rough edges.

April 26, 2021 - My favorite of the Sojourn SVDs and one of my favorites in California. Somewhat bolder than the 2017 but the site (and maybe the Pommard clone) seem to impart a little Burgundian personality. Long finish too.

February 5, 2021 - a great pinot noir. Might be my favorite Sojourn single vineyard of this year. Nice fruit. Opens up nicely. Cheers
