November 20, 2022 - Upon first taste, this tasted (and smelled) somewhat generic and quite ripe. I decanted it for hours and it came around to be a very nice wine. The nose never really opened up, but there is lovely dark fruit present, fine tannins, and a very balanced palate with a decently long finish. I think there is some good upside to waiting on this for a few years.

November 2, 2022 - Youthful and sleek, with clean notes of black raspberries and cherries over earthy tones of herbs, licorice, and a whiff of toast. Shows plenty of structure and a wonderful streak of minerality that cuts through its muscular and mid-bodied frame. Drink or hold.

August 28, 2022 - Quite nice. Muscular with fine tannin and darker fruit profile showing the vintage. Well judged and balanced. Has some upside too given the structure, though didn't get a lot of depth.

March 7, 2022 - Louis Jadot 2020 barrel sample tasting (Branch Line, Watertown MA): Black fruit, great balance on palate, not heavy

September 11, 2021 - Anniversary dinner at Grand Cafe Morristown.

I didn't not really like it at the price. Reserved aromatics, plush initially on the palette and then a grainy mouthfeel and spiced mid palette emerges where the cherry turns to an underdeveloped fruit. Finish is actually slightly bitter. Unbalanced acidity, fruit & tannin here !! Deserves a lower score but I am being generous out of respect for the wine.
