February 6, 2024 - On the nose: red fruits, some small floral notes, earthy notes.
On the palate: quite ripe red fruits, big tannins for Pinot Noir which are not yet completely ripe, again some floral hints and coffee. The aftertaste lingers for quite some time.
When first opened, very closed and drying tannins. I let it decant for 1 hour and then back in the bottle for 3 hours before tasting. This really helped it open up and integrate the tannins some more. It still stays quite a muscular Pinot Noir. Also on the riper side for burgundy, but this is to be expected from 2018. -

June 26, 2022 - Musique & Vin Pre-Concert Dégustation (Château du Clos de Vougeot): Walk around tasting. Ripe and fleshy start, then very tannic and firm middle-to-finish. Very powerful, there is enough substance to carry this through the time required to soften, better 2028 forward.
