  April 13, 2024 - Perfect wine. Had for wife's 40th birthday, along with a lineup of first growths and Napa cabs. Beautiful.

  April 2, 2024 - never had a MacD that I didnt love and the 2018 is still a baby. beautiful bordeaux like nose. makes me think of a left-bank first growth (lafite)? love the graphite componant. blueberry, licorice, lavender, earth. so many things going on here. beautiful tannins and a mouthwatering long finish. love so much these wines. pound for pound among the best in the world. Certainly the best in napa, especially at the price point.

  September 8, 2023 - Double decanted ~11 hours before pouring...nose of dark cherry, blackberry, vanilla?...silky mouthfeel with a medium finish..tannins are fine are paired excellently with steak.

  August 31, 2023 - Vibrant, pure, silky, fresh, long, and intense, this is stunning from the initial sniff and sip. Everything is in balance here, texturally, the wine feels like crushed velvet, the purity in the blackberries and currants stands out. The wine has the potential to hit triple digits in a few years. Drink from 2023-2050.

  November 12, 2022 - Double decanted 12 hrs prior to serving. Amazingly complex aromas while decanting, reminiscent of Realm The Bard. Dense maroon and purple color. Did not have ideal wine glasses at the venue unfortunately, but in the glass could still detect a complex nose of blackberry, soil, plum, hint of cedar, raspberry. Black pepper and licorice, followed by graphite and blackberry on the palate with a 60+ sec finish. It was a little lighter than I expected (more of a medium body for Napa) but the balance was impeccable, similar to a fine pinot noir but a little more powerful, and I can see why it would appeal to just about any fine wine enthusiast.
