March 22, 2024 - Bold. Delicious. Scrumptious. Wow. Great mountain fruit. Chocolate. Herbs. Dark fruits. Some tobacco, little pavement, vanilla creme and some coffee. Great wine by TRB. Sadly the Clark family stopped making these wines.

October 7, 2023 - Big and bold. Cassis, blueberry, tobacco, chocolate, some herbs, oak on the finish.

April 13, 2023 - Very young completely opaque purple color. Nose is intense, very ripe with cassis, blueberries, cinnamon, clove, dark toasted chocolate and pronounced alcohol. Palate is very intense, full bodied, mouth filling and very high in alcohol. Cassis jam, dark fruits, oak char, very dark roasted coffee, spicy black pepper. Finishes very long with somewhat soft tannins and some pleasant acidity. Very high quality ingredients but almost too intense.

This is like a rebellious teenager at this time, a bit rough around the edges but over time will hopefully settle down. But right now it is very happy to punch you in the face.

January 22, 2023 - Back to back TRB Cabs. This Howell mountain wine takes it up a notch. Bold, structured, expressive blue/purple fruits, bramble, herbs, crushed rocks, chocolate, tobacco and flint. So potent and powerful on palate, fine acidity, Chewy tannins on long finish.

May 6, 2022 - I was surprised (impressed) with this wine. Intense nose of dark stewed fruit. Tight plum, cherry. This really opened up after 4 or so hours. Give it a few years in bottle. Will try again in 3 years.
