  December 3, 2023 - Needs air - after 2 hours in the glass it opened up and came together. Flowers, cedar, integrated tannins.

  June 26, 2022 - Garnet, slightly bricking edges. Aromas are subdued but showing some cocoa and cherry. Medium body, medium high acidity, with a slight harshness on the finish. Some wood, dust, leather, some smooth cherry, but really lacking overall in any real character. This was a big swing and a miss. Not sure if it was a slightly oxidized bottle, but that's what it seemed like to me. Not corked, but tired and past it's prime. Maybe a leaky cork?

The nose is vibrant, with red and black fruits, earth, leather, brown spices, and cedar elements which add complexity. The palate is medium + bodied, with similar flavor profile to the nose. Even at 9 years old, there is plenty of grip, from both tannins and acid which linger on the finish. Very nice now with food, although I think this will have plenty of time to develop in the cellar.
