  May 19, 2024 - Dark purple in the glass, lots of prune and pigs blood. Decanted for three hours, made it more approachable. But unfortunately I found it a bit single note, and the tannins a bit simple too.

  February 28, 2024 - An eclectic night (Trapet, Duroché, Yquem,...) (Tøyen, Oslo): Slow-oxed 2 hours
  
  The nose featured plums, caramelized wagyu, cut hay.
  
  A lot of structure through the long, firm finish.
  
  Very classic, needs more time for the nose to relax and reveal more Nebbiolo glory.

  February 25, 2024 - Drank blind alongside a straight 2016 Produttori which won hands down. That is mainly due to the straight wine being so ready for business right now and drinking beautifully whereas this wine feels bound up in a wall of tannin right now. There are some little hints of what lies underneath and the wine improved on Day 2 (I re-bottled after three hours in a decanter and one glass) but this wine really needs years in the cellar. The drinking window seems to be open until 2080 on CT which might be stretching it a bit but clearly it's one for the long haul. Two bottle down from the 2016 Cru Collection case - must leave the others alone, for a long time...

  October 30, 2023 - Finally I could close this 2016 gap with this Ovello from Produttori and maybe it was fate that I got to wait another 2 years. Quite light in color it sparkles in the glas.
  The bouquet is still quite primal and almost cool, with sour cherries, a little white pepper, violets and great chalkiness.
  The tannins started to take grip of the wine, after the course of the lunch and I would wait another 3-5 years for the next bottle to open. Highly recommended, as nearly every 2016 Reserve from Produttori.
