March 26, 2024 - Decanted for 30 minutes. Lighter than most Patz & Hall wines. Pleasant with red fruit, moderate tannin and medium acidity.

December 3, 2023 - I realize why one of the other reviewers didn’t care for this wine. They indicated they love Patz & Hall as do I but this wine is clearly a lighter wine which is less rich than many of the other offerings. It’s a medium-light palate and they are accurate regarding the dried rose and sage surrounding strawberry and pomegranite on the nose. Great acid and was excellent with the Mediterranean turkey meatballs we had for dinner.

January 3, 2023 - We are huge Patz & Hall Pinot fans so this bottle was surprising as it was the least enjoyable we've ever had from them. First, and last, time for us with the Alder Springs.
Could just have been this particular bottle, but there was little of the customary fruit we're used to with P&H. It was totally nondescript. Scored it as high as I did because it is a technically sound wine, just completely devoid of any interest.
After giving it the old college try, the second half of the bottle went down the drain (insert sad face here).

April 19, 2021 - Decanted just before dinner. Sous-bois nose with rose petals and squid ink. Dense palate with more undergrowth and hedgerow. Long finish. Very good and will probably develop some secondary notes in a few years.
