December 10, 2022 - Was very tight with little fruit upon opening. After 2 hours of decanting it was excellent and paired very well with dye-aged, bone-in ribeyes on the grill

December 25, 2021 - Big and extracted on the nose and palate. Really good nose of blue fruit layered with tannin and earth. You know it’s a Napa Valley wine as soon the smell hits you. On the palate this is big, extracted, fruity, and plush. More fruit than tannin, more pillowy than sharp. Layers of dark fruit, fine and gentle tannin, white pepper, graphite and leather. Every time we open a Trespass next to other heavy hitters (like Pride, Saxum, Paloma, etc.) it’s either the one or two. Donny does excellent work with these wines!
