March 30, 2024 - Decanted for over 2 hours. Aromas potpourri, raspberry, cherry, melted chocolate and licorice. Flavors of licorice, raspberry, cherry, rhubarb and hint of mesquite. Ends with a 35 second finish with raspberry and licorice. This is consistently a great wine for the money.

January 15, 2023 - Red raspberries with sage and underbrush spices. Just seemed to lack a punch for a CDP wine. Ok finish but just seemed a little off on the finish.

November 10, 2021 - "Imposter Night" (Los Olivos, CA): Somewhat of a hot mess, if you will, so oaky, and ripe beyond restraint. Maybe this harmonizes with time, but I found it a bit sad that we easily called this out as the legitimate CdP in our blind pairing format -- for all the wrong reasons -- and strongly preferred the Jimenez-Landi Mentrida from the same vintage served alongside this.

September 17, 2021 - Decanted for almost 2 hours. Aromas of roasted herbs, lavender, boysenberry, raspberry garnacha and wild cherry. Flavors of wild cherry, roasted herbs, boysenberry, Raspberry and earth. Ends with a long finish of 30-35 seconds with boysenberry and raspberry notes.

May 29, 2021 - Remarkably approachable for a 2018 Chateauneuf-du-pape, this wine continued to evolve in the decanter. It's entirely possible that this wine had more to show than time allowed.
Slightly high alcohol but still far better balanced than most wines coming out of CdP these days. Really nice mineral, stony character along with the "garrigue". It would be interesting to see how this drinks 10 years from now.
