November 7, 2023 - A super Chianti - medium bodied with some fat (not tart, edgy, and minerally like some Chiantis), plus very tasty ripe cherry fruit. Delightful with lasagna leftovers and sweet potato soup. I was a huge fan of the 2015 version of this riserva, and it was a by-the-case house-red for a year or so, but this is close behind. The score for this will certainly go up in the coming @10 years as it further softens.

January 31, 2023 - Pale garnet. Red cherry, red currant, licorice, dried herbs, vanilla, clove, cedar, earth, leather. High acidity, medium body and medium+ finish. Ripe and high tannin.

November 22, 2022 - Opens up barnyard and softens pretty quick, some light floral aromas, apple, cherry, soft tannin, nice acidity on the palate. Not memorable but an enjoyable wine.
