Community Tasting Notes 6

January 27, 2024 - Purchased from Total Wine earlier in the day. PnP. Ruby color. It was a bit tight with not much on the nose. Tasted some red fruits with some dried herbs - may even be steamy. GF noticed some black peppery notes. As it got some air and warmed up a bit, the color became darker like a maroon tone. Notes of raspberries and cherries were more noticeable on the nose and palate with the drying finish. Overall, it was a tasty wine. I remember when this wine was under $30.

July 5, 2023 - Dark fruit, smells great. The closest thing a grand cru vineyard in the valley. "Pinot Noir, as it ages, shows more varietal character than terroir." Really structured on the palate. Lots of tension in there, lots of stuffing, still tight. Really darn good, needs some time.

June 30, 2023 - Clear garnet in the glass. On the nose is warm oak and blackberry. Clean tart flavor.

June 27, 2023 - Red cherry, sour cherry, red plum, a boysenberry or two, charred wood, cinnamon. Medium-plus tannins, probably due to whole-cluster fermentation, with a plush polished texture. M/M+ body with a firm mouthfeel.

May 26, 2023 - Red berry spice potpourri. Some floral. Nice balance
