May 9, 2011 - This is definitely one of the best Pinot Blanc's I've tasted.

May 20, 2010 - San Antonio Wine Geeks - Random Bottles (Ilsong Garden Korean BBQ, San Antonio): No change from previous night. Many commented on a "petrol" nose. Not sure I got that.

May 19, 2010 - Sweet honeysuckle and floral nose. Smooth palate, quite dense and ripe, and though quite concentrated, was a little lush and flabby. Lengthy fruity finish. Good dense flavorful wine, but I missed the acidic streak I was expecting.

December 4, 2009 - Deep, golden yellow. Great aromatics now, an almost botrytis quality to the nose. Orange blossom, clover honey, green apple, bread crust, smoky acidity. Grippy and heady, there is still a lot of heat on this one. Still very muscular, somewhat more approachable, Sustained finished. Definite cellar candidate to revisit two to five years from now. (90)
Two days later, refrigerated, no preservation methods used: Still with a vivid aromaticity, straw, musk, spice, Asian pear, Less tough on the palate, smooth acidity of fruit, creme, wood, spice and bread crust. (90)
Three days later, refrigerated, no preservation methods used: Beast is taming, the nose is just powerful. Almost a Frankincense, candle wax, vanilla element to it. With aeration Muenster rind, sweat socks comes out. Acidity is starting to mellow on the palate, but everything remains crisp and clean. 91 -

July 24, 2009 - While 88 is often thought as of a mediocre score in the broad wine market (ninety seen as the minimum a producer desires,) this score is meant to express cautious optimism that time will appreciate it's critique. A strong wine, firm and masculine, it is my hope that some of that grip relaxes in the next two to three years. Walnut-yellow, fat, quite glycerin and barely unctuous. Almond, lemon zest, orange oil, dark acidity, and an upside-down finish hinting an a possible fantastic finish in the future. Smoky at times. I think this has real potential to unveil something incredibly macho and handsome.
