December 1, 2021 - Not very expressive in the nose. Lighter, low alcohol, higher acidity style.

November 25, 2021 - A perfect red for TG dinner. My daughter who likes Malbec and domestic Cabs said it reminded her of PN but volunteered, she enjoyed it. So I think this bridged our 2 disparate palate preferences. I enjoy the fruit of Zin but not the typical 14.5%+ Alc & heft of many zins. This hit the spot! Semi translucent bright red. Offers an immediate sense of zippy freshness to balance it's appealing fruit. Strawberry, red raspberry and mineral along w/ some savory herb & spice notes to compliment the fruit. From vines dating back to 1922 located at the foot of the Santa Cruz Mts. And, only 13% Alc! Paid $24, drinks like $40+

October 25, 2021 - I've been craving the fruit of a Zin but not the 14.5%+ Alc nor the associated heft of many Zins. This hit the spot! Starting with the semi translucent bright red color you immediately get a sense of zippy freshness to balance it's appealing fruit. Along with plenty of depth & some savory notes to compliment the bright red fruit flavors. Love that this only has 13% alc & that the fruit comes from estate owned vines dating back to 1922, located at the feet of the Santa Cruz Mts. After shopping for & enjoying wine for decades how did this cool producer escape my radar? Thanks to Pete at my favorite local wine store, Thomas Liquors in St Paul, for a great rec! 90+ Yea I'm mostly a Burg guy but I could dig one of these every 4-6 months. Paid $24, drinks like $40+.
